Updates & Information on Kim

We have created this Blog for:

    • Those who are taking time away from social media
    • Those who do not have social media
    • Give Kim the opportunity to share this journey, if willing and ready, as she heals.
    • Advocacy, Awareness & Education purposes

What will be posted?

Well, Kim's family will be updating a few designated people on surgery, post surgical healing and what will be next throughout this process. There will also be information on ways the community, friends & family may help. Trying to keep Jason, the kids and her immediate family concentrating on Kim and their own needs instead of updates.

This is our friend Kimberly Cronan Gifford. We would like to tell you a little bit about her. She and her husband Jason are the wonderful parents of three amazing young adults, Cole, Giovanna & Isabella.

        • She has been a Lyme Advocate and Educator for 10 years.

        • Currently she resides in Colorado but is originally from Providence, Rhode Island.
        • Kim educated herself and received certifications to become a functional practitioner to not only help herself and kids but other families that are suffering.
        • She has a tendency to swear a lot 🤣

    1. Very important to note
A very special friend of Kim’s, who possess a medical background, has been involved long distance with many of Kim’s doctor’s appointments. She has extensive knowledge about what is going on as she is dealing with similar medical issues.
She will give many of the updates so we can see how Kim’s recovery is going.

    2. Knowing Kim for as long as I have, she is lost to who she use to be. I have witnessed her quality of life sink to extreme lows both emotionally and physically. Her fun, loving, adventurous personality has become less from what it once was. The things that brought her joy, other than her family, not able to do.
But…even through it all which, has encompassed over 10 years, being completely exhausted Kim continues to help people who reach out to her with their medical situations and questions. With her extensive knowledge she strives to assist them on their journey to wellness. Kim has never once turned someone away who was asking and always finding the strength within to assist.
Caring for her sick children passionately drives her to find answers and treatments for them. She is their practitioner every day. Even the day before surgery, continues to be there for the children and even has a plan in place as she goes through a very difficult recovery.

    Update from Kim’s Healing Journey

It’s been about two weeks since Kim returned home from Hawaii, and right now the focus is simple but vital: monitor,  rest and recovery . The medical team has made it clear that this is top priority. Kim’s body has been through a lot—her system responds intensely to procedures, and this has added layers of complexity that doctors are working to better control. Further testing is scheduled for late August to evaluate her brain, vascular compressions, and jugular veins. The medical team is specifically monitoring Kim’s right jugular vein, which collapsed post surgically, to see if rest, time and reduced swelling will allow it to re-open. These results will help guide decisions about what comes next and when. It’s not the update Kim hoped for. She had been holding onto the hope that this chapter might finally be closing—but for now, it’s a “wait and heal” season. We continue to cheer her on and hold the vision of her receiving the very best care at every turn. 💜 #LymeDisease #HAE #He...

    Kim is Home

🏡We’re home. 💛Thank you for being patient while I stayed quiet. I just needed time to rest, process, and begin healing. I wasn’t ready to share, but I’m getting there. 💛 Before I share the harder medical truths later this week🤢 I want to start with something else. 🌊These photos hold pieces of a chapter that I wasn’t sure I’d ever get to start. They’re from the moments between the hard ones, the quiet healing days, the beauty I got to witness, the hours before and after surgery when time slowed down and reminded me how precious it all is. Getting to Oahu for this surgery, to this specific medical team, was only possible because of you!🫶🏼 Those who donated, shared, checked in, and helped us provide medical care for Cole and Bella while I was away. As a family we will never forget it. 🥺Emotionally, this has been hard. All I wanted was to come home fixed — to be able to tell you all that it worked, that it’s over. But that’s not how this chapter ends. The truth is, while a lot was ...
