Team Week Helping the Giffords

Starting today 2/10 through next Monday 2/17 its Team Week Challenge!!! We need to reach a wider audience for the Gifford family fundraiser. Would you be a team leader in your network of friends?  It’s not about you donating again but getting others you know to reach a goal you establish. The friends can reach out to their friends and so on.

Kim is so excited about this idea because she wants to know everyone’s team name!!! She said they better be funny. An event was created on the Facebook page.  Say that you are coming to the event and the Linktree shows up.

This is the post below:

Let’s Cast the Net Wider for Kim—Together! 🙌🏻

We’re so grateful for the generosity of all who have donated so far—your support has been incredible! Now, it’s time to EXPAND our reach. Kim still needs us, and we know there are more people out there who would help if they knew how.

Let’s create teams to amplify our impact and set collective funding goals. By pooling efforts—sharing Kim’s story, posting on social media, and reaching out to our networks—we can make an even bigger impact. Every donation and share brings us closer.

Let’s rally together and make this happen! Here’s how to create a team:

1️⃣ Build Your Team – Ask 5 or more family, friends, or coworkers to join your team.

2️⃣Pick a Team Name – Get creative and make it fun!

3️⃣Set a Goal – Choose a fundraising target ($$$) or a gift card goal

4️⃣Register Your Team – Once your team is ready, send your details to: Giffordfamilyhope@gmail.com

🔹 Team Leaders please use the Linktree (in comments below) with all the fundraising sites and ask your teammates to share it!

🔹 Share the graphic in this post to help recruit your team.

🔹 Example message to invite others: “Hey Terry, I’m helping my friend with a fundraising campaign. All donations go directly to the family to cover medical bills. Would you like to join my team and help me reach my goal of [$XXX]?”

🔹 Other FAQs we have been getting that you may need to know the answer to:

Q: Can I donate via Zelle?A: Yes! If you prefer Zelle, send donations this way directly to Kimberly.cronangifford@gmail.com.

Q: What gift cards does the family need?A: The family ONLY uses Amazon or Whole Foods gift cards.

Let’s come together and make a difference!

Update from Kim’s Healing Journey

It’s been about two weeks since Kim returned home from Hawaii, and right now the focus is simple but vital: monitor,  rest and recovery . The medical team has made it clear that this is top priority. Kim’s body has been through a lot—her system responds intensely to procedures, and this has added layers of complexity that doctors are working to better control. Further testing is scheduled for late August to evaluate her brain, vascular compressions, and jugular veins. The medical team is specifically monitoring Kim’s right jugular vein, which collapsed post surgically, to see if rest, time and reduced swelling will allow it to re-open. These results will help guide decisions about what comes next and when. It’s not the update Kim hoped for. She had been holding onto the hope that this chapter might finally be closing—but for now, it’s a “wait and heal” season. We continue to cheer her on and hold the vision of her receiving the very best care at every turn. 💜 #LymeDisease #HAE #He...

Well, Kim's family will be updating a few designated people on surgery, post surgical healing and what will be next throughout this process. Kim is Home

🏡We’re home. 💛Thank you for being patient while I stayed quiet. I just needed time to rest, process, and begin healing. I wasn’t ready to share, but I’m getting there. 💛 Before I share the harder medical truths later this week🤢 I want to start with something else. 🌊These photos hold pieces of a chapter that I wasn’t sure I’d ever get to start. They’re from the moments between the hard ones, the quiet healing days, the beauty I got to witness, the hours before and after surgery when time slowed down and reminded me how precious it all is. Getting to Oahu for this surgery, to this specific medical team, was only possible because of you!🫶🏼 Those who donated, shared, checked in, and helped us provide medical care for Cole and Bella while I was away. As a family we will never forget it. 🥺Emotionally, this has been hard. All I wanted was to come home fixed — to be able to tell you all that it worked, that it’s over. But that’s not how this chapter ends. The truth is, while a lot was ...
